The control principle and main functions of the resistance welding machine

the main circuit of the resistance welding machine is shown in Figure L. two high-power thyristors are antiparallel as AC switches and connected in series with the welding transformer to form the main circuit. The trigger circuit of the thyristor is mainly composed of a single chip microcomputer, etc. The main control parameters of resistance welding machine are welding current and welding time. The trigger angle of thyristor is controlled by phase shifting, and the welding time is controlled by cycle. According to the obtained synchronization signal, the single chip microcomputer controls the timer at a specific time to generate a pulse signal to turn on the thyristor through the preset parameters. resistance welding has many forms such as spot welding, seam welding and butt welding. In the eyes of consumers, the controller mainly realizes the welding functions of spot welding and seam welding. Its functions are as follows:

(1) spot welding function. It can be equipped with fixed and suspended spot welding machines. The realized spot welding cycle consists of several stages of "pressurization - lifting - Welding - interval - lowering - maintaining - rest". On the basis of realizing the basic four procedure segments of "pressurization - Welding - maintaining - rest", the ramp, lowering and interval are added to meet some special occasions, as shown in figure 2

(2) seam welding function. Seam welding is a welding method in which a pair of roller electrodes are used to replace the cylindrical electrodes for spot welding and make relative movement with the workpiece. The steel bar bending tester is a special equipment for cold bending experiment and plane reverse bending experiment on the steel bar to produce a sealing weld with overlapping nuggets. There are two ways of seam welding: continuous seam welding and pulse seam welding. Pulse seam welding is the most widely used one. The weldment moves continuously, and the welding current is continuously switched on and off. Each time the current is switched on, a welding spot is formed to achieve the purpose of seam welding. (4) parameter setting and saving. The time setting of the welding procedure section ranges from 0 to 199 cycles. The setting range of welding heat is 0 ~ 99%. It can store multiple sets of specification parameters, and has the function of automatically saving parameters in case of power failure

(5) spot welding times setting and counting display. This function can be applied to special occasions such as automatic spot welding of DC motor commutator
